Our Commitment to Fair Housing
Anamika Realtor is committed to upholding the principles of the Fair Housing Act and providing equal professional service to all, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
We conduct our business in accordance with all federal, state, and local fair housing laws.
Legal Basis
This policy is based on the Fair Housing Act (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968), as amended, which prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (including children under the age of 18 living with parents or legal custodians, pregnant women, and people securing custody of children under 18), and handicap (disability).
We also comply with all applicable state and local laws that provide broader protections.
Prohibited Actions
Our agents and employees are prohibited from engaging in any discriminatory housing practices, including but not limited to:
- Refusing to sell, rent, or negotiate for housing.
- Making housing unavailable or denying that housing is available.
- Setting different terms, conditions, or privileges for sale or rental of a dwelling.
- Providing different housing services or facilities.
- Falsely denying that housing is available for inspection, sale, or rental.
- For profit, persuading owners to sell or rent (blockbusting).
- Denying access to or membership in a facility or service (such as a multiple listing service) related to the sale or rental of housing.
- Making, printing, or publishing any notice, statement, or advertisement concerning the sale or rental of a dwelling that indicates any preference, limitation, or discrimination.
- Imposing different sales prices or rental charges for the sale or rental of a dwelling.
- Using different qualification criteria or applications, or sale or rental standards or procedures.
Reporting Violations
If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination in housing, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or pursue a private lawsuit.
